Thor is from the Marvel comic family. The first comic book that featured him was, Journey into Mystery in 1962.  He was brought into the comic world by Stan Lee as the plotter, Larry Lieber as the scriptwriter and Jack Kirby as the penciller. Thor's comic book made it's debut in the Silver Age. Thor's background is that he's a God from Norse mythology (a real thing). He has been in many series, and the protagonist of The Avengers.
Thor has also made he's way onto the screen as a movie. In 2011 they released Thor, he was brought to life by Chris Hemsworth. He was also featured in The Avengers, portrayed by the same actor, and is soon to be seen on the big screen in Thor: The Dark World, the release date is set for sometime this year.

Since Thor is a God, he doesn't come from Earth, he comes from Asgard. Thor's powers include, resistance to physical injury almost to the point of invulnerability, lively senses which allow him to track objects that move faster than the speed of light, and hear screams from the other side of the world. As being a God of Asgard he can travel through time. His stamina is phenomenal, to the point he can fight the Frost Army for NINE MONTHS straight, without a break or needing nourishment. Thor also has superhuman agility, speed and reflexes which aid him during fighting. He is also excellent in hand to hand combat, and like Wonder Women has magical items that help him during battles. He has the belt of strength, and his signature weapon, the hammer. The belt doubles his strength and endurance, and the hammer controls his magical powers- weather; energy projection and absorption; matter manipulation; flight; dimensional travel and his offensives.

Batman Theme Song

The Who were the one's who wrote the Batman theme song!

Stan Lee

Hey readers! I figured that today I would take a break from giving you a biography on different heroes and villains and give you some information about the brilliant man behind some of the world's most well known superheros and villains!
Stan Lee was born on December 28, 1922. He was born and raised in New York City. His parents are Celia and Jack Lieber, who are Romanian immigrants. For the most part of his life he lived in the Bronx with his parents and younger brother in one bedroom apartment. In his teenage years he worked many part-time jobs:
  • Writing obituaries and press releases for the National Tuberculosis Center
  • Delivering sandwiches
  • Office boy for a trouser manufacturer
  • An usher
  • Selling subscriptions to the New York Herald Tribune
Stan Lee graduated out of DeWitt Clinton high school at the young age of 16, and joined the WPA Federal Theater Project.
With the help of a family friend, Lee got a job at Martin Goodman's comic company, which later evolves into Marvel. He started small, by filling inkwells and getting lunch for the artists, he would also erase the left behind pencil lines. Later on he got his chance to be creative, by doing a filler piece on Captain America. He was the one to create the trademark shield for Captain America.
He moved up in the hierarchy to writing fillers to writing actual comics. Stan Lee's first superhero was the Destroyer. When the company suffered the loss of two most important people- Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. Stan Lee climbed the chain again working his way to editor-in-chief at the young age of 19!
A year later Lee left for the army, he was stateside writing manuals, doing trading films and slogans. He was one of nine classified "playwrights". He returned in 1945 after a three year service. When he returned he went back to is job as editor-in-chief and in the 1970's became publisher.
Believe it or not at a time in Lee's life he worked with DC comics as a creator. When publisher Martin Goodman assigned Lee to create a team of superheros. He did just the thing, but with the inspiration from his wife, to neglect the common DC pattern of a hero with out suffering. To step outside the box and create his own world, and is exactly what he did. In his world the heroes were flawed, and had enemies that just wouldn't stop trying to destroy them. The very first superhero group that Stan Lee created with Jack Kirby was the Fantastic Four. The popularity of this led him and a team of Marvel illustrators on to create (with Kirby mainly) Hulk, Iron Man, Thor and the X-Men. With Bill Everett- Daredevil and with Steve Ditko, Doctor Strange and Spider-Man.

FACTS ABOUT STAN LEE
  • Stan Lee only ran Marvel for a short amount of time but then stepped down because it was more about the numbers then the comics- he is the publisher
  • His real name is Stanley Martin Lieber
  • He is 90 years old
  • He has shown up in all the movies that are based of off his creations- 16 of them!

    Iron man's theme song

One of my favorite theme songs is by Black Sabbath - Iron Man from the Paranoid album (1970).

    Thor and Loki

    Iron Man

Created by Stan Lee, of the Marvel family, Iron man is the one of ultimate superheros of all time. Iron man made his first debut in Tales of Suspense in March of 1963. Anthony Edward "Tony" Stark the man inside Iron man is based off of real life Howard Hughs, and Elon Flynn "Musk". The co-creator of PayPal, and CEO of SpaceX.
The billionaire, parent-less ingenious and industrialist Tony Stark suffered from a harsh injury to his chest while being kidnapped. His abductors make an effort to try to command him to build a weapon of destruction. Testing his smarts and endurance he instead builds a suit of powered armor, to boost his chance of escaping. Successfully escaping he uses an improved version of the old suit to shield the world from danger, as Iron man.
He uses Stark Industries- his company, to aid him with the re-build of the suit, using some older military weapons he'd created. As well as technological devices he had also created. In the beginning Stan Lee had the impression that he would use Iron man to explore Cold War themes, but changed his mind to current themes, like terrorism and corporate crime. Iron man has been portrayed in television shows and movies. Characterized by Robert Downey Jr. in the action films the Iron man trilogy and The Avengers in 2012.

    POWERS AND ABILITIES
When in the suit, Tony Stark has uncanny strength, flight, durability and a multitude of weapons. The weapons have gone through an evolution as Iron man has, but the commonly known weapons are the; repulse rays located on the palms of the hands; a shield that extends up to 360 degrees and emits a sonic blast. Stark had also created an extension of suits, ranging from suits that can travel into space to suits that can go deep sea diving. The suits are operated by Stark's every move. After being injured he has to inject is central nervous system with techno-organic virus, like a body restructuring machine. In doing so he re-wrote his body biology. The suit is powered by this.
Tony Stark is just as brilliant outside of the suit as he is inside. He is a born genius, and excels in computer science, physics, chemistry, and mathematics. He also surpasses Bruce Banner (The Incredible Hulk), Hank Pym (Mr.Hank) and Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) in mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering. He is acknowledged as the most exceptionally intelligent character in the Marvel Universe.
The center blue circle on his chest is what powers the suit and keeps him alive.

    The Joker

"I believe that what ever doesn't kill you simply makes you.....stranger" The Joker

    The Joker

The Joker is my personal favorite. He is part of the DC family, created by Jerry Robinson, Bill Finger and Bob Kane. He first appeared in Batman #1 in 1940. Through out the comic books the Joker is portrayed with a high intelligence and as a master criminal. He was introduced as a psychopath with a warped sense of  humor. In 1950 Joker became a goofy prankster, but ended up rebounding back to his dark self. Joker has illustrated his vibrant personality by paralyzing an ally of Batman Batgirl, and killing Jason Todd, the second Robin.
With Joker's extensive history, there are multiple "witch tales" to how Joker has attained the appearance he has. The most conventional tale, was that he fell into a tank of chemical waste which turned his skin white, his hair green and lips red. When studied, researchers say that Batman and Joker have a relationship related back to yin and yang.
The Joker has shown up as a villain to Batman multiple times, in both animated shows and live-action movies. Starting in 1960, being portrayed by Cesar Romero, and in 1989 with film, characterized by Jack Nicholson. Finishing with Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight, 2008.

    CATCH PHRASE: "Why so serious?"
    ABILITIES:
The Joker is able to use comic props as weapons, like harpoon guns with razor sharp BANG! flags, lethal electric joy buzzer, acid-squirting flowers, and a deck of bladed playing cards. His favorite and most known weapon is the Joker venom, leaving his victims with a Cheshire cat grin as they laugh their life away. Joker is also shown as a very intelligent person. Skilled in the areas of chemistry, engineering and explosives.
